my 11 year old golden retriever has problems/hip, but insists on sleeping on the cold bathroom floor, even though I have two garden beds for her. She has a lot of Sinus/Allergy problems, so I'm sure the cold helps her breathe better when sleeping, but it is not good for your joints. I ordered this bed because it was not too high (I wanted something that would not be tripping over each time I went to the bathroom) and the reviews were really good. It was delivered yesterday
